Decent maker with some flaws. Cord is short. But the real issue is the brainless placement of the power switch. Having it on the side (right) means it can't sit on the left side of something else (like my microwave), and putting the switch at nearly the back of the machine is, well, just dumb. Now I miss my old proctor silex...
We've had this coffee maker less than 2 weeks and it quit working this morning. It heats the water and makes the bubbly noises like it's trying, but nothing happens. Thankfully we have a French press for backup.
This coffee maker only lasted 3 months. It's such a shame because the product support ended only 2 days ago. This morning sparks were flying and it blew our electrical circuit. Mind you - the only item plugged into that circuit is the coffee maker. It's one of those areas in my kitchen that doesn't include any of the major appliances and nothing else was being used at the time. I'm really disappointed because I was very much in need of my Monday morning coffee. I will not buy another Betty Crocker coffee maker. So sad because I was just thinking about how much I liked it too. I was wrong. :(
