Surprisingly Good First Person Shooter Zombie Flick
August 26, 2016
Surprisingly Good First Person Shooter Low Budget Zombie Flick. The premise is two friends, one German and one American, want to recover some Nazi gold rumored to be stored in an underground World War 2 era facility located beneath an American military post in Germany. The American outfits his German friend with a suit containing video cam headgear, some type of smartphone strapped at the wrist so they can communicate, and a set of Wi-Fi repeaters to place in the facility. After some hijinks to get on the base the wise cracking German is able to get into the underground facility. As he is exploring it he comes across a bunch of dead bodies, some Nazis and some American soldiers from the 1960's. He then encounters his first Nazi zombie, followed by a squad of American soldiers. They are all trapped by an emerging horde of Nazi Zombies, led by a zombified Adolph Hitler! The film has excellent production quality, the script is decent, and the acting good. The wise cracks get a bit irritating at times, and you have to set aside your disbelief about the motives and mental states of the various characters, but all in all its a great Zombie "b" flick filmed in the style of a first person shooter video game.
