First, awesome drying!!! Can't complain about that. It comes with a tag which is stupid to be blunt. Must be ripped out or cut close to cloth. This is probably where the most fraying occurred, yet fraying can be seen in other locations of the towel even far from the black lining. If you want these to last, I would suggest hand-washing very carefully and air drying. If this "fraying" would of occurred after 10 washing/dryings, I would of found it acceptable, but not after the first. I'll try to find similar waffle towels w/o tags as this type of towel is awesome for drying - excellent absorbency.
Note: Dried on brand new car, very lightly. Did not snag on anything. I washed the two towels on "delicate/ gentle/ slow" cycle and dried them on "delicate/ extra low heat" with one other, similar microfiber towel.
