Worked well for a few days

My unit worked fine for a few days until I noticed that the unit was emitting a very strong burnt plastic smell and when I physically inspected it, it felt hot. I had to unplug it. I only had a usb cord plugged in when this occurred. I requested to get a replacement unit. Will update this review after my replacement unit arrives

Lit my house on fire!!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! I had one cell phone charger plugged into this “surge protector”. I was sitting home with my 9 month old baby and this product LIT ON FIRE and set my wall on fire. Thank God I was sitting on the couch and caught it immediately. If I wasn’t home my entire house would have burnt down from this cheap product. I bought this product to protect my family, instead it caused a fire. I’m extremely disappointed in Amazon. We put a lot of faith in their products and to have on almost burn down my home does not make me trust them. This product has amazons name on it!

I have been looking to change some of the outlets in my house to include USB ports due to the fact that every electronic device sold now has USB chargers. I found this to be an easy cost effective alternative that also protect my devices from power surges. I am now able to charge my iPhone and Fitbit without taking up space with those bulky cubes and am still able to plug in my lamp and home phone in one spot.

These are the best surge protectors with USB that I have ever bought! Usually I have to buy ones that screw in to the socket to keep them from falling out, but these stay in without it! I will definitely buy these again!

This actually is quite handy. I tried both the USB plugs and they charge as expected. The red light in between them lights up when plugged in showing you the surge protection is on. I haven't had a surge yet to check if it's working like it's supposed to. I like that my 2 plug outlet has become 3 outlets along with the USB ones. Instead of buying those AC outlets with built-in USB ports, this is much cheaper and installs faster.

HEAT IS THE BANE of any electrical device or electrical circuit. The user needs to pay attention to the load-limits of this and any other device. Where the pictorial on the face of the device shows only one lightning bolt USB port, plug in nothing more than a cell phone. Where the pictorial on the face of the device shows two lightning bolts for the USB port you can plug in a laptop or other load requiring no more than 2-Amps. Plugging-in too heavy a load—any component or appliance having too little resistance—will cause the circuitry of this device to overheat. Remember, this is true of all electrical devices and appliances. Again, HEAT IS THE BANE of any electrical device or electrical circuit.

I used this in my bathroom because I didn't want the length of an extension cord (Youngsters living in my house and a bathtub not too far away.)

Both my daughter and I like to charge our phones in the bathroom overnight. (This way we don't have to worry about setting a silent mode and the phone is always charged before we leave during the day. It also has the added benefit of allowing us to go to bed to SLEEP rather than play games, text friends or read books or email.)

I also like that there's a fast charger included. Two fast chargers would have been better but my daughter's phone charges much faster than my own.

I would purchase another if I needed one, but I think I'd want the longer cord for any other room in my house.

We love this charger! I’m buying a few more, one for every room. It charges our devices significantly faster than using a normal charging block. In addition, having the ability to charge multiple devices at once plus utilizing the plugs as well comes in handy. I thought at first that charging multiple devices at the same time would slow down the charge, but it didn’t at all. I timed charging the same device and a full charge was reached (from dead to full charge) on my iPhone X 15 minutes faster using this versus using the charging block that came with the iPhone X. I also timed (same process) using my iPhone X and my Apple Watch Series 4 and they still charged full charge 15 minutes faster while being charged at the same time. Definitely recommend this product to everyone.

This product came right on time and was exactly as pictured. I like that it gives you the option of having the USB port or plug in an outlet all in one. Makes for a good "behind the" (couch, desk, table) outlet. It isn't loose in the outlets that I have tried, and neither is the actual product - it seems like a snug (in a good way) fit and stays in. Before I purchased this, I read a lot of reviews that said it was really bulky or big.. but I didn't know what they were talking about when I got the product - it's actually kind of small for being a product with 3 outlets and 2 USB ports. I would definitely buy again if I need more!

Wall plugs like this have been around forever but this one is so clean and simple, that you really can't beat it. Especially for the price. It doesn't block both outlets so you are net adding 2 plugs, plus 2 usb ports. So many devices nowadays go through USB and you usually end up having a million of those little USB bricks plugged into your outlets or power strips. This allows you to get ride of those and go straight USB into this device. For the price of these things, I may end up sticking them on a bunch of outlets around my house. Recommended!

I've had this since September and am very pleased. I was looking for a replacement lightning cable charger adapter (i.e. is something to plug into outlet with a USB port). I was looking for a single unit, like I'd had from Apple, when I saw the multiple USB & outlet adapters with surge protection. I never looked back. A surge in a hotel room once which fried my wall plug/adapter. It was alarming but the lighting cord and my iPhone were unharmed that time. You never know. I appreciate the surge protection.

I find it very handy to have the double USB ports at my bedside to charge my iPhone & Apple Watch. It does make accessing the other wall outlet challenging but I now have 3 outlets--with surge protection. There is one 1.0A USB and one 2.4A USB port as indicated by the 1 and 2 lightning bolt icons. The 1.0A is recommended for phones, the 2.4A for tablets. I've had my phone or my watch in the 2.4A port and haven't had any problems with it being too much.

I want to buy another just for travel. I'd like one that's this light (3.5 oz) but I'm searching for one that also can handle 240V (not just US 110) so I can use it in other countries without bringing a heavy converter. I don't really need the outlets, just several USB ports. I'd prefer a product that is UL listed but that seems rare, so at least has met ETL standards (as this Amazon Basic product does). If anyone has found something, please comment!
