The perfect ending!
December 8, 2015
The darkest book of the three, Every Last Mark really focuses on the growth of Avery, Noah and her friend Sadie. While the suspense and twists are present and heightened, it's what O'Brien does with the character arc that impresses me most. Avery has gone from somewhat of timid, nervous person to a strong, take-charge woman. This is so important to the story and the plot because book one and two have been leading to a culmination of sorts and who Avery IS has a lot to do with whether or not she can survive the loss of more people at Arnold's hands.
I loved the development and resolution of Avery and Noah and I thought this was the perfect conclusion to the trilogy. I'm so excited to see/read what O'Brien has up her sleeve next!
