Top critical review
It works, just not at 10 Gbps

First, this adapter WORKS. Gets the job done.
Connected to a Thunderbolt port on my Dell XPS 15 9570, and using a Samsung 840 Pro 512 SATA-III drive. Internal to the laptop is the native PC401 NVMe SK Hynix 1TB SSD.
Copying a 25GB VMDx image from the Samsung to the internal NMVe runs reasonably fast, averaging ~455 MBps or about 3640 Mbps (3.5546 Gbps) to be clear, I am reading, ultimately from a SATAIII device, but should be able to get substantially closer to the 6Gbps rated for that interface.
copying the SAME file from the internal NVMe back to the SAMSUNG 840 Pro, I 'm only getting ~155MBps (1240 Mbps or 1.211 Gbps)
Reading at ~ 3.5 Gbos, but writing at a dismal 1.2 Gbps. Both of which are a FAR cry from the advertised 10Gbps.
Does it function? absolutely. Will you get 10Gbps read/write speeds? um... unlikely.
