We feed our Penbroke Welsh Corgi Acana dry kibble because of its superior sourced ingredients. However, she had struvite bladder stones from inadequate water intake which resulted in a costly $4,000 surgery. The vets always push Science Diet products (they get kickbacks from the manufacturer) and tried to convince us to move our dog to Science Diet's special formula canned food for kidney/bladder stones, however that company's ingredients may meet AAFCO standards, but that's not good enough for our dog. So we now feed her half Acana dry kibble, with half a can of Blue Wilderness, a cranberry extract supplement, then add some water to make a stew and she is happier than ever before! No problems since. Probably a hell of a lot healthier too.
