And God’s peace [shall be yours, that [a]tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall [b]garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. It all boils down to this question... "Do you trust me?" Do you trust God no matter what the circumstance, the loss, the failure, the closed doors, in times of trial, will you still trust him like you do when things are going your way? Do you trust his decision when you don't understand why? When you learn to trust, without question, there is a peace that overcomes you in times of trial. During what most others would loose hope, would lose control, there you are, in control, at peace, maintaining joy, hope, and confidence that He who holds you is in control, aware of what's going on, and He will see you through every bit of it. I love this song, to proclaim that I will in fact trust in you Lord , no matter what.
Lauren’s voice is extremely powerful and the beat and music are very engaging. In this season of my life where I have been pleading for something from God that I have not received yet for a long time, I put this song on repeat frequently. It helps orient myself toward God even when he doesn’t move the mountains or part the waters. As I sing along it helps me proclaim to my soul that I still trust him!
Bought this because it is one of seven christian songs that I love enough to try and learn how to sing. I get very emotional with these songs... in a Good Way! LOL! tears are not uncommon. One thing I like about this song and the others, is that they are rather generic about Christ and God. Not heavy in dogma like so much Christian Music. I am an ACIM Student and if you are too, then you understand what I am talking about.
Lauren Daigle is a Special Singer with a great voice!
The Lord led my heart to turn on the radio New Year's Eve and this song was playing. What a blessing and wonderful way to start the year! The words of this song, the call to my heart, the timing of the message and the talent of this artist are just amazing. I love this song because it realigns me. It brings to mind all the scripture I have memorized about trust. Such a comfort. Yes Lord, I will trust in You.
Life is not fair and this world will continue to test your resolve. When everything you have loved is taken away, what do you have? You Trust in God that He will take care of you. Who will you trust when life dashes you against the rock?
