This instructor has a very clear style, suggesting modifications if something might be too much for the viewer. There are two programs - an "Energizing Flow" and a "Relaxing Flow". I do the Relaxing Flow regularly - it focusses on stretching - and find it enjoyable useful. The Energizing Flow is technically good, focussing on strength and flexibility. Unfortunately, the "background" music is really foreground music, competing with the instructor's voice, and I find it more agitating than energizing. :(
I had trouble following some of the moves. Hard to watch the screen to see what to do while in some positions. I couldn't physically perform some of the moves. Parts of it were too fast, including the breathing! I'd recommend the Yoga and Tai Chi videos by Scott Cole. He goes slow enough to learn the moves and makes it very easy to follow.
The relaxing flow portion of this DVD was nice, but the energizing flow portion has annoying fast paced background music. I felt like I was doing a workout video of lunges, etc. I love yoga, but not this one. I recommend yoga with Adrienne on YouTube instead.
It was pretty good but I prefer her to explain each move. It's supposed to be a DVD for beginners but each step is not explained. Beginners means we don't know any of the Yoga terms. I have some experience with yoga so I did know some of thevYoga terms but there were some that she mentioned that I didn't understand so I had to keep looking at the DVD. It should be explained in detail more
