Gypsy Charm For Everyone

This a super tale that jumps back to the 1930s and then to today, every few pages.
Read about gypsy vendetta’s, family payback after treachery in the past.
Nobody lives their lives like the gypsies, never, ever forgetting the past feuds.
Someone has to pay in the modern world for an event that happened before World War 11.
Grissly stories abound and nobody can escape. Once marked beware of your downfall. This author pulls no punches as page after page makes you squirm in your seat as the net tightens more every hour.
This is suitable for persons who love tales of the gypsies.

A Little Disappointed!

Instead of the usual paging turning drama, and passion this novel relies on history and a go-gettum' gypsy grandma saving allied prisoners with grandpa to be in a prime supporting role. But since we all knew both survived the war it took the edge off of what could have been nail biting scenes. Meanwhile, Cassie and Drake's mom are kidnapped on the eve of Cassie's wedding by a confessed serial killer ( who doesn't!). The killer is seeking knowledge of the location of stolen gold from the war era plus retribution for his own father's death at the hands of the resistance (who he betrayed by the way). Drake of course is beside himself casting self-blame for the kidnapping and desperation as the clock races to a point of give the killer the info or have his mother killed.
It's all kind of convoluted and thus my title: A Little Disappointed!! Better luck next time CJ...and please don't make us wait too long.

Very disappointed in the story line. I love everything CJ writes, but this one I had a hard time keeping track since it switched back and forth on storylines and time frames. From my point of view only account from the past explaining things would have been sufficient. Although I wasn't excited about this book doesn't mean that I won't get every new one she writes....still love her! I'm happy Hart and Drake finally tied the knot.

Loved the series but honestly I didn't like this book. The history of Rosa was a distraction. I would recommend the series though.

Loved the first three of series. This one wasn't bad but not as good as previous ones. Finishes the series off with a whimper not a bang

Quick read some tense moments the expected happy ending. Overall not very exciting and a bit too predictable however if a fan you will like this book.
