READ THIS coz IDK Why Bad Reviews?!
Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2018
I have had a system that uses this battery type for almost 3 years now. Out of the ten batteries in the pack, only one was questionable. And, that may have been operator error. I had bought a couple of single batteries before purchasing the ten pack. I am now down to my last battery left in the pack and it has been 30 months since I originally purchased the pack. Hopefully I don't end up with the bad luck several others have had. Because, this will be the second time I'm purchasing a ten pack from this seller and brand. IDK all the issues others have had, but there are some common problems that aren't always accounted for. 1) If your pet constantly tests or tries his limits the collar has to respond. Either by noise or electrical correction. This takes power, and drains the battery faster. 2) If you turn off the transponder or have power outages, it cause the collar to believe it's outside of the safe zone and respond with corrections until the battery is drained. 3) If you just trained the pet, or just used the tester and checked the boundary, you've used battery power, which once again drains the battery faster. 4) I know this one is going to rub people the wrong way, but are you replacing the battery properly? It only takes about a quarter inch of turn to secure the battery properly. There are two tiny little bumps on the lip of the collar's battery socket. One has a tiny white arrow pointing to it. The other is just a tiny bit in the clockwise direction. Those are the two points that line up with the arrow on the battery. 5) Once all human error and "trying" pet behavior has been eliminated as an issue, maybe it's time to start looking at defective parts. Trying a different brand battery is by far the cheapest part to test first. Or maybe your collar is defective.
If this next purchase proves to be as bad as all of the other reviews show then I'll update my review to reflect this. If not, then, my review will stand unchanged.
Hope this helps at least one frustrated soul out there.
