This was purchased for my Mother. It was not necessarily a birthday present. However, the neat thing is it arrived on her birthday and was much quicker shipping than was predicted. She loves it! Even though I do not normally purchase instrumental music for myself, I find it to be excellent music, sounds wonderful, seemed to be one of their better albums from the little bit of samples I listened to from different ones. It does have a little bit of singing in some of the songs too. All I can say is you will not be sorry if you buy this album by The Piano Guys. Would give it 10 stars if I could.
Just bought the MP3 version and am listening to it as I write this review. I have 53 songs and counting (several duplicates) of the Piano Guys. I have watched all of their videos, some multiple times. I love the bringing together of the classical/contemporary styles that provide a refreshing and exciting blend. How these fantastic musicians can pull so many different sounds from two instruments (Piano and Cello) you would think that they had a whole band with them. There isn't a "clinker" on any album or any single they have produced. Yes, there are some I like more than others but that can change with the mood i am in. Overall if I had my top ten choices, the Piano Guys would be in the top two...any song any album and this one is right up there at the top. If you are an eclectic music lover, this album is a slam dunk
Love the piano guys and love this album too. Inspired me to take music lessons at 48 years of age lol. Needless to say, a little to late for me, but these guys can inspire many younger folks to do this and still 'be cool' :-). Ive seen them on PBS and live in Jax, FL and think they can make magic with any song. Not that I want a Piano Guys version of 'wheels on the bus' lol; but if anyone can give it a spin for the masses, its these dudes! If they come to your town, GO SEE THEM!!! When we go, we take folks 8yrs to 88 and all ages love them!
Mu wasn't good. Case is cracked and music is wonderful but the damage to the CD case was not expected. The CD case itself is cracked and I am able to pick pieces of the case from the case itself. I reported on this a couple of days ago.
I've been a fan of The Piano Guys since before they formed and it was only Jon being included on EFY CDs and doing small concerts at BYU. It wasn't hard to get my family hooked and now we're all staunch supporters. (My brother even saved a shirt tag at an event once years ago that had been pulled off. Yeah...)
I'm very pleased with Wonders, their newest cd. I especially love the new tracks! My toddler and I have listened to it all morning. The Piano Guys' passion for music really shines through, and not just that, but it's easy to feel their gratitude for the talents they've been given and their happiness and peace in life. Their music is uplifting and encouraging. I've written books while listening to them and it's music I'll always be able to share with my children. Al, your voice is beautiful! Father's Eyes is fantastic and very heartfelt.
My one sadness is that there are only six videos. I'm guessing that they couldn't include more because of licensing, but it's a shame that a large portion of the talent behind The Piano Guys isn't accessible with this album. (To me, the videos are just as awe-inspiring and enjoyable as the music. The two shouldn't be separated.)
If you haven't listened to The Piano Guys or if you aren't sure you want to buy this album, just do it. :-) You won't be disappointed!
Love love love TPG's new CD - I think it's my favorite yet. :) Creative, beautiful & perfect for a relaxing night at home. My favorites so far are "Story of My Life" & "Let It Go" - and I was surprised by how much I love the beautiful lullaby "Father's Eyes." Any parent will be moved by this prayer for their child to be watched over by the Lord as they sleep. I am a life-long fan and can't wait for more!
I keep this in my car and play it all the time! It's so calming and uplifting. My favorite pieces are Track 1, 2, 4, 11, and 12! I haven't checked the DVD yet but I've seen all the videos on youtube. Beautiful stuff.
I love that this calms me down during morning rush hour and afternoon rush hour...I cuss a lot less at idiots now...
