This is your standard Brita filter. It is nothing special, but is large in size if that's what you are looking for. You cannot really pour water until the filtering area is mostly empty, otherwise that water seeps out from this area. The filter needs to be replaced more frequently than I would like, which is why I subtracted a star.
I know, the headline might sound like an advertisement but it's not. For some strange reason this filter actually has a lower ppm reading than Poland Spring water, but I guess that's a good thing for us consumers! My tap water tested at 43ppm, this filter with the standard cartridge brought it down to 23 ppm. No longer will I have to be buying bottled/gallon waters at the store. It's a smooth/water tasting flavor and doesn't require much work to clean, everything comes apart so easy.
Perfect! This is exactly what I was looking for, and it functions beautifully. Water tastes just like any other filtered water (I’m very picky about the way my water tastes) and it’s very simple to use. Will be purchasing another in the future! I used to buy bottled water in bulk, but have since started my zero waste journey and obviously I needed to make a switch. So happy with my decision! My old Brita served me well for a long time. When I noticed it was wearing, I began my search for a replacement. Not so easy I soon found out. Where were the pretty ones like my old one. NOT TO BE FOUND. Mine had an appealing lacy design on it that I liked (really its only a pitcher!). Finally I decided on this one and am so vey glad I did. Its in full swing in my kitchen now and used every day. Love my BRITA!
I just purchased this in April & Love it as it really purified the water to a natural "spring water" taste and was just loving it. Just ordered another, not because we need 2, but going through some med treatments, didn't realize my arm had gotten so weak. Went to get it out last night & my arm just collapsed. The only bad thing I can say about it is that it's not indestructible. Love it enough to buy another and just trust there is someone here the next time I need a glass of water - which is about 14x/day .Brita 10 Cup Grand Water Pitcher with 1 Filter, BPA Free, Available in Multiple Colors
This is quite possibly the best water pitcher I've had so far! I've gone through at least another 2 since I live in the US and I love this one! It's very easy to clean and stays clean for very long. The water filter reallyyyyy holds for a longgg time and the taste is always great if anything I'm surprised at the good quality of the water that comes from this filter :D I truly love this! Please never stop making these and making it accesible for us to buy :)
We went back to a Brita Pitcher after having a **Zero Water** pitcher for 4 months. That Pitcher Filter only last about 30 days... Maybe five weeks, but it had a very foul smell and the water tasted awful. At $15 a pop for one **Zero Water** filter, we decided to go back to Brita. At least it won't STINK or Taste bad!
Living in the country, being on a well system, one needs to filter their water. I've used these Brita water pitchers for years and I have to say, this is my most favorite version. It works just like you would expect however the design on the tank/pitcher is great. The water pitcher flow is phenomenal!
I bought a Brita because I just don't like the taste of the filtered water that is on my refrigerator. I am so glad I did!! The taste of the water from the Brita is so much better!! I have always been particular about what bottled water I drink, due to taste, and this beats them all. The pitcher is a good size and is very sturdy. My husband and I drink a LOT of water throughout the day, so we are constantly having to refill it, but it filters and refills very quickly. I thought I would want a bigger pitcher, for this reason, but with how quickly it refills, it's no problem! If you have been debating getting a Brita, do it. I can't believe I waited so long.
I had to replace my old Brita pitcher because it got knocked over and fell out of my fridge. Otherwise it has been working for me for 30 yrs. This one is bigger, more colorful and I love how it works. Gotta be careful how much I fill it. Gets heavy for my weak wrists, so I don't fill it full. But love the fact I don't have to fill it so often. It doesn't take up that much space in my small old fridge either.
You have to take the lid apart, so you can add the water in there, if not, the lid will felt. And the light will not work well after you just try the first couple times. Then the light will not ever since.
