This is your standard Brita filter. It is nothing special, but is large in size if that's what you are looking for. You cannot really pour water until the filtering area is mostly empty, otherwise that water seeps out from this area. The filter needs to be replaced more frequently than I would like, which is why I subtracted a star.
i've had brita since they came out. even once in a while you just need a new one. i've had this one for about 3 months and it's already gone wonky. the upper reservoir doesn't fit snugly in the main pitcher compartment, so when you accidentally overfill it, or want water while it's going through the filter system (as it's designed to do) water goes everywhere.
it's nothing like the previous model, which i thought was exactly the same.
thankfully it at least filters the water. i think...

Bought one and barely after the one month mark, it started leaking and water wasn't following through one of the 4 filter tubes… I thought because of the defective filter, that's why it was also leaking from the side of the filter. I reached out to Amazon and they sent me another one but I received it and 2 days later there is water leaking again from the side of the filter but at least all my 4 filter holes are working this time… just going to use this until I finish my long lasting filter set but afterwards throwing it away and never buying another Brita. They suck.

We've had this item for 2 months and noticed it would leak water on our shelf. We thought it was because the water filled in the top portion of the pitcher would overflow. But then realized there were cracks at the bottom. We never dropped it and don't understand how these cracks sponteously appeared.

I loved my Brita when I first got it, but I quickly realized what is clearly either a very obvious design flaw or a defect in my item. The filter does not have a seal to keep the tap water from seeping around the filter, so you are getting unfiltered water in your reservoir. And there is no way to insert the filter to seal it. Also my filter change light has never once turned red to indicate its time to change, it only continues to flash green. I may have to look into another product with a better design
