... as I finished this book was that I am glad that is over
January 24, 2017
My first thought as I finished this book was that I am glad that is over. I read this book for a book club, if it weren't for that reason, I would have put it down after 10 pages. The people are unlikable, and unbelievable. Only the son shows any promise. We are asked to believe at the very beginning that a father would behave the way he did, lie upon lie and including his young son in the cover up. On top of that, I figured out the ending as there was no other explanation that was any where near plausible. Speaking of the ending, it was abrupt and totally manipulating. Very disappointed, have read other books by this author and although they were forgettable, at least they were somewhat enjoyable.
