Very Comfortable Shoe for Mostly Dry Use (glue dissolves in water)
October 9, 2017
This is my fifth pair of the Teva Pajaro flip flops (or slippers, as we call them in Hawaii) that I've purchsed in 7 years. They usually last 1-2 years, unless you repeatedly soak them. If you do soak them, the glue on the areas where the straps penetrate the top of the insole dissolves, and you're left with a worthless shoe. This happened to me when on vacation in Bonaire, and I had to spend three days walking around with a flopping shoe, as there was no place to buy a suitable replacement. Why, oh, why, don't they use waterproof glue for a shoe that's obviously made to be used around water? They would probably last 4+ years if they did so. They have great arch support and are very comfortable.
