After one week my dog went to the vet with an intestinal blockage. Vet said that he sees this often with these chews. They are meant to be well chewed as the chews are very dense. If your dog doesn't take the time to really chew them (as most dogs don't), then it can end up getting stuck in their system.
I started feeding these to my dog once a day and he started acting weird like he wanted to go out all the time and he started having accidents in the house and my dog is 8 years old very well-behaved and potty trained his whole life so basically what happened was this product cause my dog to either have dry mouth and required him to drink more water or it caused some kind of problem with his bladder so he couldn't hold his pee so I gathered from this that there's some kind of chemical in there that is causing these issues which is definitely not good for him I highly recommend that you do not purchase this product
After giving one each to my two dogs, within 24 hours they were violently sick and had to be hospitalized. I had no idea what was happening until I remembered this was the only difference and so I looked it up and read over 100 instances of these exact treats causing dogs to be hospitalized or die! I can’t believe they are still in business. My dogs luckily are okay now after treatment but I will never give them any greenie products ever again. I hope amazon will stop allowing these to be sold as well.
I bought the 60 count Petite Size (15-25 lb Dogs). The box included 2 zip-lock bags of the treats. The first few were hard and it took my dog a while to chew one up and eat it. I thought this was a good thing because it meant she was having to work her teeth more on it.
Even though I have kept the bag closed, the chews have become rubbery and soft. I can't imagine they are doing much for her teeth. I don't know if they have gone bad. Are they still safe to give my dog?
I went to greenies.com and used their contact form to ask about the treats. They have not bothered to respond. What's the point of having a form for customers to use if they are not going to respond? I am rating these the lowest I can because they have changed in consistency in a matter of days, and the manufacturer has non-existent customer support.

Beware! Check contents before giving these to your pets. Found fuzzy white stuff all over the greenies and a ton of bugs crawling around. Never had a problem with these until this last batch. I threw it away immediately but I should have checked the expiration date.
DO NOT BUY!!!!!! These treats are absolute poison. They are almost impossible for most dogs to properly digest resulting in intestinal blockages. Our dog lost 15% of her total body weight after indulging in a few of these treats. She experienced violent vomiting and bloody diarrhea for 4 days — we thought we were going to have to put her down. Our vet didn’t make the correlation between her illness and the greenies, so we fed her another one a month later. This time, over 36 hours after we fed her the initial treat, she vomited up a huge, green, fibrous mass which had never come close to being digested. She’s doing fine now, but I wouldn’t feed these treats to my worst enemy. There are thousands of similar stories if you dig a little.

These made my dog very sick. She is 7.5 years old and had never had any issues before I began giving her Greenies. Exactly 6 days after I started feeding her Greenies was the first episode. She threw up that night and it looked a little strange. It was bile but had an orange tint to it. The next morning I awoke to find blood and throw up all over the floor. My dog was pooping out blood and throwing up after she drank any water. There was also some blood in her vomit. I called the vet and it took about 25 minutes to get her to the vets office. They ran some tests on her and said she was a little bit dehydrated and had gastroenteritis. They said they did not know what had caused it. The vet gave her some fluids under the skin, prescribed some antibiotics and I was able to take her home. She had diarrhea the next day (thankfully no more blood) but after that it cleared up. I did not realize at the time it was the Greenies. She was fine after that for another 4 months. I often gave her Greenies though not every day.
Then came the second episode. She was a bit more lethargic the day before, but otherwise seemed fine. However the next morning there was blood and vomit everywhere. I took her to the vet and they said it was hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and they wanted to keep her over the weekend on an IV. I asked them if Greenies could cause this and they didn't think so. I got to take her home on Monday and she still had bloody diarrhea for several days but her appetite was back. It took about 2 months for her to return to normal.
I ended up throwing away two boxes of Greenies. She hasn't had any issues at all since nor has she had any diarrhea since. It's important to point out that my dog ate her Greenies very quickly. She didn't chew them up properly. If your dog eats them quickly they are very dangerous. I gave these to two other dogs who would spend a lot longer eating them and they never had a problem. I don't give it to them anymore because it's not worth the risk. I am just thankful my dog is okay now. Vet bills were around 900. I realize it was not wise to feed them to my dog because she ate them too quickly.
Our dog used to have seizures when he was eating Beneful food. After we switched him to Science Diet, they stopped. This was about 5 years ago. In the last month we bought greenies for our him because he has bad breath. After about a month of giving him one greenie a day, he had one of his old seizures. Once we stopped giving them to him, he hasn't had another seizure. Don't recommend.

These treats nearly killed my dog earlier this week. I had no idea they were dangerous until I started researching them on the internet after my dog suddenly became extremely ill this week. We thought he was going to die it was so bad. We spent 700 dollars at the vet dealing with an undigested greenie treat that gave him an upper GI bleed and a great deal of abdominal pain. We honestly thought he was going to die. If you love your dog like family, you need to research greenies before you end up with a very sick, or dead, dog.
Has anyone else complained that the 60 count Greenies Petite Size Dog Treats do not contain 60 pieces. This is the second order that did not last 60 days. We give our dog one Greenie a day, This order was received on August 30, 2018 and it is now depleted except for two chews. Please advise.
