Very cute water table that my son loves! Even though it only has 3 legs it is very sturdy so you don't have to worry about it tipping over at all, even if your little one needs to hold on to the sides for support. There are a variety of fun things to do to keep more than one kid occupied at once and it seems to hold up pretty well to abuse. We bought this for my autistic 2 year old and it was a big hit. He even enjoyed playing with it indoors right after we put it together before there was any water in it!
UPDATE: Still fun for a 4 year old after 2 years in the sun! I took this picture today 4/20/16 of my now 4 year old playing with this and loving it. It's a little more faded and some of the pieces have gone missing or broken off (like the anchor), but the water canon still shoots and the wheels still turn! No leaking, no degradation of the plastic. Great quality table.
I really wanted to love it, the idea is so super cute and my daughter loves it. However after the 1st two uses the drain plug started popping out every time i filled it with water. I would plug it and then it would just pop out repeatedly. I called Little Tikes and they said they'd send another plug. I went outside to move the table to store it until the new plug came and the table was heavy...filled with water on the inside of the ship! (Inside where it's supposed to be hollow.) I sent an e-mail to Little Tikes and they walked me thru the process of receiving a replacement, they responded very quickly and they were very helpful. I was super upset bc this was my daughter's 2nd b-day gift and i really wanted her to have it to play with for her b-day party. Little Tikes was great and offered to speed up the shipping so we would have it in time. We did get it in time for her party so that was great. However after the 1st use, the replacement water table is still filling up with water on the inside of the ship again! Ugh! It will be filled with gross mold in no time & i'm not sure what to do with it at this point. This isn't one of the cheaper water tables so i really expected a high quality table that would last a long time. My other complaint is the water canon that's supposed to spray water doesn't function properly. Every time you push down on the canon to squirt the water out, the entire canon pops out of place. Also, my 2 yr old is constantly pulling off the spinners from the center of the water table. They shouldn't pop of so easily that a 2yr old can remove them. I had these same issues with both water tables that i recieved. I also don't like that the little people have holes in them allowing water to get in. All this does, is allow water to get inside of them so they can collect mold & they aren't even squirt toys so the holes serve no purpose.
I love the idea of it and all the things there are too play with, I love how big it is so multiple children can play at the same time. If it didn't fill up with water on the inside that I can't get out, I would give it 5 stars in a heartbeat. I'm really disappointed.
*Update: I've attached a photo of the nasty mold inside...🤢
My 2 year old son loves it! It was literally the best 80 bucks we’ve ever spent on him. It comes with so many toys to go with it. He loves dipping his head into it and getting soaking wet. We even bought those water beads to go in it and they go perfect with this water table. I highly reccomend this one over any of the others. It’s Nicley built and very sturdy! We put the screws in the toys it required but we didn’t put them through the legs so it would store easier and it’s super sturdy, you can’t even tell we didn’t put the screws through. The free shipping gets it to your home within 3 days!
My almost 3 year old is in love with this water table, lots of accessories that comes with it and it was so easy to put together, instructions say power drilled is needed but, I use a hammer to get the long screws that keep the legs in place into the plastic (there are not pre drilled holes) and then just use a regular screwdriver. Total time to put together 30 minutes. I got the cover that is advertised at the bottom of the page for around $7 and it fits well without the middle part on.
Not the quality I expected from Little Tikes. There were tiny pin-holes that caused the product to leak, very slowly but the water leaked into the area between the 'hull' of the ship and the 'deck' making it very difficult to get it out and impossible to dry it out. Trying to box it back up once fully assembled was a task that would have been nearly impossible. Many parts snap into place and do not simply unsnap to disassemble. Very cute idea, but the leaking is a major issue.
My son loves this table! There is plenty for him to do on it. Hes almost 2. He loves pumping the water up the mass and the water cannon. Usually he rips the sail off but it doesn't hurt anything. My only complaint would be it doesn't have a cover but I found a perfect solution. You can order this fire pit cover from amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BBAP274/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It covers it perfect and helps keep debris and dirt out while not in use.
This is a great table. My 2 year old will play with it for hours. I would suggest this for 1-5 year olds. The height is perfect for 1-3 to play while standing. Pros: large play area, several good quality toys that come with it, the center flag pump works well to drizzle water down, sturdy table. It washes easily. We drain it every night, rinse and refill the next play period. I wash it with soap once a week or when it feels slimy, especially under the plug. Cons: the drain plug is poor quality. It does't seem to leak, but it has to be in just right. There are times that it may slowly leak if it's not pushed in just right. It order to get a good seal, I have to lay the table on its side and use both hands. The plug actually pushes up when holding water, and you push it down to drain. Like some others stated, some water does seem to get trapped somewhere within the hollow of the table. It's not a significant amount, nor does it effect the use or dumping leftover water. The water cannon does shoot, but it has to be primed under water. The tube on it is too short to reach the water and the slot that it feeds through is too narrow. This pinches the tube. My kids play with it manually, unattached. Two holes were not pre drilled when putting it together. It did not impair drilling.
Overall, I love this table. It has kept the littles busy or the last three weeks. They keep cool while playing in it.
This water table is great. I read the reviews, and bought the fire pit cover as well which is a snug fit, but works great (https://www.amazon.com/Classic-Accessories-58992-EC-Terrazzo-Cover/dp/B00BBAP274/ref=pd_bxgy_21_img_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=ETA3WMW2D7HHNKP3MQJV)
I had a few issues with the product though-- One leg didn't have the plastic molding correct on it. There was extra plastic still attached and it was a spot that had to line up perfectly to be inserted and screwed into the table. Nothing a hammer and flat head screw driver couldn't take off with a few hits likely. Up and running now with step one, getting the legs in place to then screw them into the table, I realized the screws if not placed just so, will come out the sides of the boat- where kids could hurt themselves. Annoying that you need to use six inch screws with no screw holes to line them up, that if you're not right on (which you're inserting them at a diagonal as it is), the screw will go through the plastic of the boat. It isn't where the water is held, so it doesn't create a leak, just looks crappy with a small hole there now.
Problem #2: the drain plug sucks. After filling with water, my husband thought I was nuts when I told him to take our almost two year old out to play with the table that was now dry. He realized the plug didn't hold when the outdoor rug was soaked and we realized the problem. My son still played with it as it, but I was frustrated that I put this table together for my son's birthday and the one piece that HAS to work, doesn't. I flipped it over and it's holding water, but the plug is half in/half out and opposite way or upside-down from the instructions to get it to actually hold water. I see someone else got a plug at the hardware store to work, so I'll be trying that method or contacting Little Tikes soon. Until then, I refuse to touch the plug.
Just purchased this for my son and so far he absolutely loves it! Before putting it together I was worried that it would be too tall for him (he's just 14 months old) but the height is pretty much perfect for him. He's able to play with all the various gadgets on the table and even pump the water up the mast although that is a bit of a stretch for him. My only issues with the set have to do with the cannon. One, I wish its was mounted more securely as my son loves ripping it off. It also has decided to stop working after only one or two serious play sessions. I've tried everything I can think of to get it working again but I can only get one or two good shots out of it before it stops working. Maybe I just got a bad part. Overall though this is a great product and I'm looking forward to seeing my son enjoy it all summer and for summers to come.
Edit: Got this back out after being in storage for the winter. It was in the basement with a cover on it so it's not like it was exposed to the elements. Anyway, filled it up and at first everything is great. After a day or two I noticed that the water level was dropping significantly. Even though I had it covered I thought maybe it was just evaporation and filled it back up, only for the water to drop quickly again. When I went to move it I noticed the legs were almost completely full of water! I tried draining and plugging the leak but it's been hopeless. I've seen many others on here posting about this same problem so it doesn't seem to be an isolated incident. I would highly recommend you not purchase this table.
For all its cute, cool looks the LIttle Tikes Anchors Away Pirate Ship doesn't do much and is hard for our young grandchildren (20 months, 3, and 5) to operate. The water "pressure" is non-existent in the little cannon, and the pump on the tower - even with the basin filled and with pumping as hard and fast as we can (adult action - its hard for kids to push down) the water only trickles down the tower and doesn't even turn the water wheels, spinners, etc. The cannon is hard to depress for young ones and when they do, it shoots only a few inches out. The slide on the corner comes off all the time even though we followed directions to install it properly. The pirate figurine, when attached to the "ship's wheel" just falls over due to its weight - same when trying to put it in one of the little boats, it dumps the boat over. The yellow spinning things on the sides don't do anything, either; they just spin around. Overall, a very disappointing product for the money, and if we could return it, we would.
