Fatal Starts: A fairly good mystery novel.
November 21, 2018
There are too many characters and sub plots. The book is supposed to be about a investigating journalist, Jess Kimball, searching for her son Peter who has been missing for ten years. The first six chapters are a separate story, entitled Fatal Enemy. The next part is Fatal Distraction and has nothing to do with the first part. It is a mystery story involving multiple complex murders mainly concerning Helen Sullivan, the Governor of Florida, and her husband Oliver. Jess Kimball is pretty much on the sidelines, as an investigating journalist she interviews people but does little other investigative work. There is plenty of criminal activity by the bad guy.
