Design flaw means you will crush IDE pins, but it does work if you're a ninja.

It's alright as an IDE dock since there aren't many options available. I use this as on a test bench in a repair shop. Unfortunately, it suffers from a critical flaw that makes it almost unusable for IDE drives. The IDE ports (2.5" and 3.5" both) aren't aligned so that you can just slide a hard drive in. The opening for the drive is bigger than a 3.5" drive, meaning you have to guess where the port is under your hard drive and push down, hoping for the best. I have personally wrecked at least 3 hard drives by thinking it was aligned and being just a millimeter off when I push down, crushing the two edge pins on the drive. Also, the shape of the IDE port has some extra plastic pieces that aren't necessary, meaning some drives simply won't fit, if the board on the drive has extra connectors or a nonstandard design.
