Bad package handling by Amazon, but the sound quality is amazing

So, i'm not some vinyl record connoisseur in her mid-life boredom bashing online about records not being made like the good ol' days; I'm just a college student that just picked up the hobby of collecting vinyls because of the unique sound quality. What I've learn during my mere two years collecting these things is that they're really easy to mess up when manufacturing or when shipping, if they're not labeled fragile and if they don't say that they can't be lain flat.
These things are babies and have to be carefully handled, and stored upright, away from dust and moisture. I don't wanna sound like a crazy collector, ranting about keeping things in mint condition; but I've bought most of my records from Amazon, and it's only the last 5 or 6 (and some I bought and returned TWICE) that I can't play through the whole record without hearing it skip, or it just getting stuck in the same section of the song.
Giving this 3 stars is hard, because having to return it twice and still never get to keep one for my collection is saddening. I'm a ridiculously huge Gaga fan, and I genuinely wanted the second record I got, to replace the first one, to work. But again, this second one was skipping. In different areas from the first one.
Guess I gotta start visiting actual record stores so I'm buying them from someone who knows how to store the.
