Expiration date is a year out yet many of the package seem stale and break apart almost immediately. They do not taste as good as ones I would just normally buy at the store, I assume this is due to the freshness issue.
Was that a lot of Hard Mint-O-Green, 50-Ounce Bags (Pack of 2), or what!? There is a lot of individually wrapped candy in these bags. Even though they are not intended for my use, the lovely mama I give it to, has already said twice she likes them. And that is good enough for me. What I do as of late is: I mix several cough drops, different colors, and make one big box of mixed candy. Big Mama eats anything and everything, so I figure by going the extra mile, I may double her candy loving pleasure. Well, when these twin bags arrived, it made the other varieties disappear and all I could see was the white mint eclipsing the rest. Had to purchase several other varieties, and now the box in which the mix is stored has doubled in size. Yes, for someone who loves these minties, there are plenty to be had. Plenty! I tried one and must confess they are okay, but then again most hard candies are just okey to me for I do not indulge in them. My weakness is its first cousin: chocolate! Seem like a decent purchase for those who love these. 3.5 Stars.
Usually I have no issues with these mints, but this time I was forced to write a review. I received my two 50 ounce bags and quickly realized that the mints were not sealed properly and thus were "open" in the bottom of the bag. Not every piece, but a big majority of them. I've never had this issue before, I was thoroughly disappointed.
