Spendy for size, and beware of an added "bonus"
January 14, 2019
I wanted something at work to try and take away afternoon candy/snack cravings, and a co-worker recommended these. I've had the Wint-O-Green mints before, but the sugar-free variety was harder to find, so I placed an order on Amazon.
This order had twelve small packages of sugar fee Wint O Green Mints in one box. There are approximately 20 individually wrapped mints per each small bag. For twelve bags, I thought the price was a little spendy - almost $27.00.
I also noticed that the mints did nothing to curb my candy cravings - it just made me pop more mints. When popping more mints, I came across the added unwanted "bonus" of the sugar-free mints having a type of laxative effect. Not really what I was looking for in my mints.
Taste of these is typical Wint-o-Mint, and can be overwhelming and tongue numbing if you eat too many (as I apparently did). As a child of the late 70's and early 80's, the Wint-O-Green reminds me of the old candy cigarettes I loved to eat but that my mother would never buy for fear I would pretend I was smoking them. Kind of a chalky Pepto Bismol flavor. Ahhh, the memories. Truth be told, I'd much rather a candy cigarette over these.
