INTRIGUE IN THE PHILADELPHIA COURTHOUSE
Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2016
I enjoyed this book although it was less about the "Final Appeal" than the parties working in the courthouse. That was quite interesting following the life of a divorced woman raising a child and trying to do the right thing until she has a one night stand with her boss, the chief judge. The affair ends abruptly when the judge is found dead - an apparent suicide. Grace refuses to believe he went off and killed himself after they had a night of incredible sex. The deeper she looks into the suicide the more danger she brings down on her herself. It's apparent Lisa Scottoline is familiar with the courthouse, Philadelphia and being a single parent. All these things show in her relaxed, informative writing.
