This stuff is great. What else can I say. I got scabies.....again! The first time was about 1 1/2 years ago. I had no idea what it was. I went to a walk in clinic and they diagnosed it as scabies. Between the doctor visit, and the two tubes of prescribed 5% permethrin, I spent about $300. That's just bogus! This time around, I knew I had scabies. My girlfriend helped me track down this Martin's Permethrin 10% and it's great! I ordered it from here. I spent the extra money on shipping out of desperation. It was here in two days. Here's the deal. You just mix this stuff with whatever body lotion you prefer. I used gold bond ultimate healing. It's a 1:1 ratio. Half permethrin 10%, and half body lotion. That way you dilute it to 5%. No one on here explained how they mixed it. Trust me, you want to mix it up real good. I just measured everything out and stuck it in a ziplock bag. You'll be able to mix everything up real good in there. After that, I just washed out an old, empty body of cleanser to put the cream in. I cut off one of the corners of the bag and squeezed it all into the bottle. The last thing to do is just cover yourself, head to toe in the cream and wait a minimum of 8 hours, but no more than 12. I was very specific with my review, because as someone who went through this experience, I was panicking at the time! This stuff is great! Follow the directions that worked for me and you should be scabies free. Also, just a couple side notes: You should do one follow up treatment a week later. And in the meantime you should bag up all of your clothes. Shoes should be put in the freezer. And your bed spread should be washed everyday. And the great thing about this stuff is that it can be diluted in water, put in a spray bottle, and then you can spray material based things such as your bed, and couch.
I had scabbies bad for two months. It's an absolute nightmare. It's hard to explain to anyone who hasn't been through it. Sleepless nights, constant itching and irration. It's not only physically awful, it's mentally awful as well. I'm a pretty tough tough guy but this ordeal caused me to break down a few times. I cried, I asked why, I begged for it to stop. If you are dealing with this THERE IS HOPE! This product cured my scabbies. I believe 100% in it. Mix this with lotion, the thicker the lotion the better. Mix it in a 1 to 1 ratio. Apply the mixture to your skin literally from your neck all the way down to the bottom of your feet. You need to apply it to every centimeter of your body. Buttcrack, armpits, in between fingers and toes, everywhere. Leave it on for 8-12 hours. It has to absorb into your skin to kill the devil mites. Wash off in the shower with regular soap. It can be messy applying it, i did it in the bathroom. You need to apply it twice 7 days apart. So if you do it first on Sunday do it again that next Sunday. It works. It is uncomfortable while it's on your skin, but worth it. Please try this. Get your life back
This stuff is AMAZING! The day I received it in the mail, I washed all linen, mixed 1.5 oz (this bottle gives you a pre-measured dose) with 1 quart water and sprayed my couches, rugs, all areas those nasty mites could hang out. These are the next steps: 1. Take a warm bath with 1.5 oz. Permethrin. Make sure your entire body is covered, including submerging your hair. Dry off, discard towel and clothes to be washed. 2. Mix Permethrin and lotion in a baggie (I used Suave lotion, but any lotion/cream will do) 50/50 amounts. Baggie will mix it good. While standing in the tub, cover your body head to toe, I put it in the roots of my head, between fingers, toes, groin, everywhere. Keep rubbing until it is mostly dry, then put your night clothes on and go to bed. Keep the baggie for next week as you will do this again. 3. Leave on for 8-10 hours. I did not have anything crawling on me that night, RELIEF! 4. Wash off, then in 7 days do the same thing again. I could tell after the first treatment they were GONE! 5. Take a small cream jar and mix a 10/1 parts mix of 10 parts cream/ 1 part Permethrin to keep with you, especially at night. Anytime you feel a mite crawl put this cream on you. That is a female and she needs to be killed and this mix will kill her but not hurt you. The # will be few, if any.... 6. You will be mite free!!!
I bought this and the Martin's IGR solution. I bought it because we took in a feral cat and her 4 kittens that had fleas. We already had 4 rescues of our own. Before we knew it we had a full blown flea infestation. I bought every OTC product imaginable including foggers, sprays, sticky rat traps, carpet powder, and even I industrial spray in a can. NONE of that worked at all. Because we used Advantix on the cats the fleas needed a new host to bite. I would wake up every morning with bites all over my legs. Yes, they are fleas and not anything else. Every time I vacuumed I checked the bin and saw them. After the first use of Martin's Permethrin and the IGR I noticed a substantial decrease in fleas. I thought we were going to have to call a professional exterminator, but the Martin's Permethrin and IGR did the trick.
Worked a 3 day event at the Anaheim Convention Center. I slept in a motel near by and got some really icky tracks and blisters on my arm a few days later. 'Turned out to be Scabies. This product is not designed for human skin, so I diluted it with water and lotion at first. But there's no need. Its an oil, and even at full 10% no irritation, sting or burning (even on more sensitive areas). Kills scabies fast! I applied 2-3 times a day on my whole body. Bug free once again! Thank you! Great product! 'Keeping some on hand from now on!🙏
We use this to make Tick tubes to throw around our woods. I'm happy to report that we haven't seen a tick in our yard yet this season and haven't needed to spray anything. Tick tubes with Permethrin really seem to do the job!
Used this with plain unscented lotion to heal an issue that was getting worrisome. It worked on the first application significantly, however, after maybe a couple of weeks, it felt like it was back and applied it again and after the second time it was completely gone. (Scabies)
this stuff will do exactly what you need it to. We bought it because my boyfriend's kid got scabies somewhere. He was covered in it. Everywhere. No joke. (PANIC!!)
I made the lotion (literally any lotion will work. use whatever you don't mind using a ton of) with about 25% permethrin (stronger than the 10% typically recommended, but it was sort of an accident and none of us experienced any ill effects. If you do this, please know that you MUST slather yourself head to toe. every inch of skin. I even put it in my hair. it smells terrible, by the way. let it dry and go to bed. wash it off completely in the morning, or you will get skin irritation.) Between this and the Ivermectin, we were all completely cured within 2-3 treatments (i made us all do 4 of both products, just in case, each a week apart.) we also made a 10% spray for our beds, clothes, and everywhere we had touched in our homes. none of my roommates ever got it, and i hardly ever showed any signs.
***DEADLY TO CATS WHILE WET*** fine after it dries, even if it becomes wet again. fine for dogs
fyi, when scabies starts to die, you will see what looks like bruising. the spots are brownish instead of red. it will still itch, but notice that the burrows (lines) are going away. you don't want to keep doing this for too long, as you will develop irritation to it it can also stop working after too many treatments.
Ivermectin is essential to killing the ones beneath your skin. the lotion treatment is only topical, and cannot reach in there. use them both. yes. the horse paste. it's gross (the apple flavor doesn't help), but it works immediately and it's like $5 for about 10 treatments if i remember right. you use it the same as a horse would. by body weight. read about this. there are important things to know. use your google.
Months later, i found that an ant colony had taken to a vehicle that hadn't been driven for some time. I sprayed the carpets down with a 10% mixture of this stuff, and they were all gone the next morning. very impressed.
You can probably get this at a tractor supply store for maybe $3-4 less, but I've found that it's not this brand. I think this one is better, from my experience.
My scabies story The night I got a massive chest tattoo I stayed in a hotel and then flew back home the next morning. The night I got home my tattoo itched like crazy! It was unusual to be itchy already and this was insatiably itchy. The itching went on for a week. Then at 2 weeks the itching moved all over my body including my scalp. I had no visible rashes or burrows but when an area got itchy the skin would get red and bumpy and then it would go away. The urgent care doctor said she didn’t know what it was and sent me on my way with a $70 bill and prednisone. By 3 weeks I had to take at least 2 antihistamines to go to sleep. After some research I decided I might have scabies. I thought I had gathered enough supplies and did everything I needed to do to cure this horrid infestation, but here I am 20 days since I first treated myself still itching like crazy. This morning I saw 2 burrows on my forearm and felt so defeated and depressed. So far I have treated myself with permethrin 10% head to toe 4 times. I just started using neem oil head to toe everyday after I shower. I take ivermectin every day. I wear pants and short sleeves. I put all my clothes in the dryer for at least 60 minutes on high. I don’t reuse anything, towels go in the dryer asap. I ordered 36.8% permethrin, sulfur soap, more ivermectin and more neem oil. Here’s my plan. When I get the permethrin, I will shower first to open my pores. Apply all over my body. Mop the floor. Spray the mattress. Dry the bedding on high. Spray the car seats, dipstick and steering wheel. Keep the cat out of my room for 4 days. I’m praying this works. I’m losing my mind! The itching is intense and the work to keep these things at bay. Not to mention the isolation. I don’t want to spread these awful things so I mostly stay home and abstain from human contact. I know I still have these bugs because I see those burrows every once in a while. My physical rashes didn’t show up until a few days after I started treatment. The burrows raise up on my wrists and then they disappear. Wish me luck!!!!
Mixed 50/50 with lotion and treated my demodex face, scalp, neck, chest and shoulders. Did it two days in a row. (Not eyes, mouth or nose) Had already used the prescription cream several times and still was resistant. This worked better! I also mixed 1part permethrin to 10 parts water and sprayed my mattress, pillows, couch, rug areas, chairs etc as a cautionary measure. Will do it again if needed in the future.
