BOUGHT THIS...HERE'S WHY.

I'm a fairly serious collector, endlessly searching for recordings I don't have, and enough of them in one package that I can put up with the redundancy--It's a big factor, when you have over 500 CDs, mostly pop/rock. So, "top ten" or even "top 40" isn't my top priority--as it is with some reviewers here.
(speaking of which, wow: over 200 weighed in on music that is half a century (dig it!) old. Utterly amazing. That's like 200 people raving about or at least reviewing Artie Shaw, Perry Como, Benny Goodman Rosemary Clooney and Glenn Miller in the 1990s. Didn't happen. Couldn't happen. But I digress...)
So, what did it for me were these factors:
1. Great sound. Amazing, in some cases
2. Rough Chronology--from very early 60s to realively late--spans the decade.
3. Wide range of genres, (C&W--stands for "Country and Western" which is what we called "country" in the 60s) R&B rave ups and bubble gun.
4. Instrumental. I love 'em--got two I didn't have in the collection: Viscounts Harlem Nocturn, and--believe it or not--Santo and Johnny's Sleep-walk.
So, I counted up the songs I liked, wanted but didn't already have:
The Lion Sleeps tonight
We'll Sing in the Sunshine
In the Year 2525
The two bubblegum hits
That's 11. For around $10.
So I bought.
