Your Sense of Worth and Happiness Comes From Within
Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2017
I love how much the author emphasizes that change is your responsibility. You have to own your negative thoughts and triggers, then you have to change them. Thankfully, the author gives action steps and tools to help you on the road toward self-healing. The reason I gave this 4 stars rather than 5 is because I think it would have benefited the reader more to bring out more action steps and positive stories, with less on the negative patterns. Nevertheless, this is a great book and I recommend it to anyone trying to overcome self-defeat.
Here is one of my favorite quotes from the book: "Your sense of worth and happiness is developed from within, and no matter how much you try to obtain it with external validation, it will never be enough. You can't rely on anyone to give you what you're lacking in personal confidence."
So true and very much in line with another great self-esteem book, "Maximum Confidence" by Jack Canfield. Fine job, Scott.
