I guess he did warn us with the picture on the front that reads "A Memoir of Fumbling Toward Adulthood", but I was disappointed that he stopped his tale at the point he got his first Broadway show - after all, he's been in 2 of the biggest hits in the past 15 years, I'd have liked to hear about his work on them and his famous friends (Gavin Creel is the only semi-famous person that appears in this book). I guess he's holding out for a 2nd book?
Part inspiration for future actors, part a sad tale of love(s) gone wrong, but all heart, this really is a lovely debut for the author. He's sassy and brassy in all the right places, you'd definitely want to be in his posse in late night NYC.
