Handmaidens should take them to the riverside on a spring day and gently swirl them in the rolling river while one plays a harp. They’re socks.

Answer:
I wear a size 9 shoe and purchased these in a L/XL. They fit well, but since they are so stretchy, I don't think there would be a problem fitting a size 10.

Answer:
My socks are actually cooler than the thicker cotton socks I sometimes wear. I can actually feel the wind blow through my canvass sneakers when I ride my scooter. I will avoid wearing the black ones when in the sun, as dark colors absorb the sun's heat much more than white ones.

Answer:
These socks are 15-20mmHg and have a lot of stretch. I would not recommend ordering a higher compression such as 20-30 mmHg. The higher compression was extremely uncomfortable for me & my calf & knee are not as large as yours. Also these socks sit just under the knee.

Answer:
Lower numbers are less compression. My husband wears 10-15 and I wear 15-20. They say men swell less than women so it works great for us. Good luck. I love mine as does he
