They are very similar becuase they are both currently made from the same manufacture/factory. The inner pots for the Yedi Houseware pressure cooker and Instant Pot are identical and fit both. The main differences are a few of the preset function buttons.

Answer:
I pull put the gasket and wash that in the top rack of the dishwasher. I use warm soapy water to clean the metal parts and lift and clean around the steam release valve.

It comes with a very meticulous manual. It does not come with a specific cookbook and it recommends you find recipes online for anything you desire to make.

I dont own a instant pot but from what i seen the instant pot does not swing open. It has a tab that allows you to put the lid so it can rest it on the side of the pot. Yedi does not have that tab or the slot to hold the lid. Hope this help.
