After you buy it and lo… see more These packs have a good chance of starting most cars, yet no one can promise you "It's sure to ALWAYS get you going" since every situation is a bit different. The ads like "1500 peak amps" may make some think it's a lot better than the car battery with 500CCA, yet those ads are quite misleading. After you buy it and look at the manual you'll see things like "Don't crank a car engine for even 5 seconds or you'll damage the battery inside the pack" which is one example showing how powerful it really is. I have other examples if you wish like OEM details on the "Crank assist amps" test that is quite different than "Cold crank amps" testing (add comments if you want those). In any case, the power these have may be enough for many situations, but there's always possibilities of a car battery having shorted cells draining power faster than it can be sent or such where it may not work. So realize it's limits where just as it weighs ~1/3 that of a car battery, that's a good estimate for the power it can give you in comparison.
For a diesel truck, I'd want at least 2 of this size pack to try such (just as you have 2 car batteries in it). The 12V power this has can be connected up where trying it is better than looking at the dead car thinking "what do I do now?", but it has it's limits. I even ask one OEM rep about that expressing concerns over the ~80 amp draw for glow plugs lasting 10 seconds seems like an automatic violation of their "Don't crank a car (or have high power draw) for even 5 seconds" rule. The rep I ask responded with "The glow plugs draw is very taxing on the battery, but I don't count it against the crank time". Not sure if he wanted to avoid saying "Our product can't handle it" while he did share my concern, yet he did emphasize getting a bigger pack for trucks (like double this size) while one like this size would be OK for a VW diesel or such. So that's my best advise (and luckily I've not had to jump such a truck). see less

I've seen some things advertised with "300 watt-hours" where 300 sounds much bigger, but converting that to amp-hours it's (300/12=25amp-hours), so not much more than 18. It provides an electric socket so it provides temporary power for anything you can plug into it for several hours during a power outage

Yes, I have already taken my unit apart. I put in a voltage meter and switch to turn the meter off. Battery is a great quality 22ah 12volt replaceable. Good luck. It's a great product

It will take about 14-18 minutes. when you require more than 10 minutes of use,please turn off and let it cool for approximately 30 minutes before resuming operation.

I don't believe it has an automatic shutoff. The manual that came with mine states the following, "Your portable power station should not be charged for more than 40 hours continuously. " That tells me there is no automatic shutoff.

Yes. In approximately 5 minutes unless completely flat, then maybe 10-12 minutes. I inflate mine to 40 psi when it starts getting cooler in my desert community. They always deflate when it cools off.
