The long filter simply pulls out. The oval filter is twisted left and lifted off.

We replace ours about every 4 to six months or when we notice the vacuum isn't performing as it should.

Grab that little tab in the middle and pull it out. Once you get it out the first time it's easy after that.
Be careful not to run the machine for too long on High. It will burn out the battery.
I just did that and they acted like I was stupid, till I pointed out they don't tell you!!

Yes. Rinse out under a faucet. You can take the tall one apart to wash the filter, but be careful with it. We have two sets and switch every so often.
