When connected to a PC with a non-defective disk inserted, it appears to Windows as a remove-able disk drive. At that point you can access the files, or perform a secure erase on that drive. Fora defective drive, I'd recommend a sledge hammer...

Had the same issue with my WavLink product, but found that if I plugged the USB cable into the most current version of my USB ports on my computer the product then worked as advertised.

Supports all drives that are 2.5 and 3.5 SATA Drives.

It will work, after the cloning is complete, you just need to delete the bad sectors.

I did not buy this particular cloner, but honestly they all work like a simple USB drive attached to a computer's USB port.
