Answer:
The noise cancellation function does work under wireless and wired mode.
And the noise canceling would work great when reading a book or in a office. I use mine in an office environment and it completely neutralizes the sound of other people nearby.

I can easily wear them comfortably for hours and have no issues. They filter sound very well and are extremely nice for the price. For the money, I couldn't ask for more. I use separate cushions for active and non-active use. New cushions are easy to replace because of the magnetic attachment. see less I've never had the comfort 35's, but I've flown Helicopters for over a decade, and use Bose headsets exclusively as a flight headset. My first pair had a strange beating noise when I switched on the noise cancelling function. I put this into my review, but didn't expect anything to happen. Much to my surprise, Cowin contacted me, apologized for the problem, and sent me a new pair without charge. The second pair worked perfectly until someone decided it would be fun to rip them apart after my son left them in a computer lab at his school. I am debating between the avantree leaf headphones which are cheaper and have slightly better specs, but my experience with Cowin and my happiness with the last set from them has me thinking about buying one of these headphones. - Jim see less I have a pair of Cowin E7's purchased about a year and half ago. Answer:
Not by me. I tried running with them without much success. The Bluetooth on the e8 is better than the e7. I prefer the base on the e7 over the e8. However I feel the midrange is better on the e8.
