Tissaj bed linens are made with finest yarns and it is the natural property of pure & organic cotton to give out wrinkles while in use or after wash.
Our linens have been made with a very close weaving technique and hence it takes some washes to become soft. These are not the silkiest of the linens but we have ensured it will definitely last you a very long time.
Here are few steps to guide you on how to effectively maintain the life of your organic sheets.
1. Wash the sheets separately from other laundry to avoid pilling due to abrasion with other materials and fabrics.
2. Machine wash on delicate or low cycle with cold or luke warm water because cold water doesn't shrink the fabrics and does not leave much wrinkles after wash.
3. If possible, use a natural plant based detergent or half the amount of recommended detergent to maintain the organic structure of the fibers.
4. We do not recommend using bleach or whiteners too often since they coat the fabric with chemicals and doesn't allow the fabric to breathe.
5. Tumble dry on low and shake the linen between cycles to minimize wrinkles.
6. Avoid direct sunlight during hang dry. Direct sunlight may cause fading or yellowing over time.
7. If needed, press with warm iron.
8. Store in a cool, dry place, avoid any direct sunlight and allow fabric to breathe.
Note: Always try to use natural alternatives with organic fabrics. This allows to maintain longevity in the organic structure of the fibers and improved results with the fabric. see less
