The pencil is not required; it is an option. Look up the pencil for info on what the pencil adds to the experience. Otherwise, this tablet will function like any other IPad using your fingers.

Get a case that has 6th Generation 9.7 in the the description. I have two different iPads, my case is made by STM, the other one is an Otter box.

Sign up for an iCloud account t and get an Apple ID. When you go to the Apple ID section in your settings on the old ipad it has a section called back up and restore. Set it to back up each day. It works with the 1st generation Apple Pencil. The 2nd generation one that supports the side-tap gesture will not work.

The Apple model number for this iPad is MR7G2LL/A (aka A1893). It is the latest and greatest 2018 model and yes, it does support the Apple Pencil.

If you have a wireless printer, yes. You must download the printer onto your I pad first. Then it will search and find every time you wish to print!
