I had the same problem, called customer service and they told me to get rid of the original app & download the ECOVACS HOME app. I did that but had also had to reinstall the regular Ecovacs app to run my N79S.
It's odd that both apps did't take the other machine but I like the much better than the Roomba s… see more

Ours came partially charged. I'm not sure how long it takes to fully charge as it's just on a cleaning schedule, does it's thing and then returns to its dock to charge and wait for the next scheduled job to start

Using the Ecovacs app you can schedule cleanings, monitor accessory status, locate the robot, etc. You can also enable Max Mode suction, edge mode cleaning and spot cleaning.

Any floor, any time. No problems. Mine works on carpet, tile, and wood. It just goes from one to another.

Yes, you need wifi for the initial setup but after that wifi isn't needed to run its daily/scheduled tasks. Wifi is only needed if you want to check in or have it send alerts via the app

I love my debot so much o got a second one for my office. It’s able to do hard wood tile and carpet has a lower profile than my Bobbie bot so it gets under furniture better which is key. Surpassed my expectations of having my wife ask me to vacuum as much lol
