well I just recently got one and I carry around a laptop, textbook, and a few notebooks, and I would say everything fits well. I guess it really depends on how big the binders are, but if you feel unsure you should get one of the laptop backpacks instead.

I read reviews about people getting a faux. Mine was real! I made sure it was free returns before I ordered. I looked online for the tips and what to check for and was happy to have the real thing.

The classic straps are definitely strong enough to hold a heavy laptop. I have carried my laptop and all of my textbooks in mine. The only thing is that there is no padding on the straps so they can dig into your skin especially if your shoulders are bare.
