One hint to this.... the model with AC in the name includes a wireless A/C router. The ones that are just a cable modem have CM in the model number. see less

I measured as 5 by 3 1/2, less than an inch thick. Pretty small. You connect the power cord, the incoming cable and your Ethernet to your computer or wifi, take note of MAC address on bottom, have your cable customer number, give them the number, they handle it and you are done.

To start with, the DOCSIS 3.1 standard is around 10 times faster than the DOCSIS 3.0 standard. It has Gigabit and multi-gig capability which increases the overall speed also.

The CM600 is not a router just a modem .you probably need to up grade your router for better coverage . But The CM 600 is a fine modem will future proof you up to almost 1 gig if and when cable companies start rolling it out in your area. Yes. But you need to call the TDS customer service and provide your CMAC or SN to register your device. These numbers are on the box and the unit
