I bought this toy for my 1 year old granddaughter and it is perfect for her. the reel is just for looks but that is ok since a 1 year old does not have the concept of reeling in a fish anyway. As for an adult... I think I have more fun catching these magnetic fish than she does!!! I am not sure what you are asking.

That I don't know, can you contact the company? That would be the best option. All three should have come with the pole. One was attached to the pole with magnets.
