No. The GoPro Hero 5 is a complete redesign. Firstly, they hardened the GoPro Hero 5 so it does not generally require a housing, other than the frame they provide with the camera. Firstly, they hardened the GoPro Hero 5 so it does not generally require a housing, other than the frame they provide with the camera. It is already waterproof to 10 meters. You only need a housing if you intend to Scuba dive with the GoPro, or will use your GoPro in a particularly hazardous manner or environment. The batteries, and charger are also redesigned (IMHO, much better.) The only things you will be able to reuse are the mounts. No be sure to get a float for it. Don't want it down there taking useless video of the bottom of the ocean. There are a number of options.

Depends on which video mode you are using... 4k30 videos last 50-60 minutes. Although if you are using in a hot envoirement it may turn off to protect the battery. 1080p30 probably last ~4hrs

Yes but you might need an adapter. The Hero 5 (and Hero 5 Session) uses a USB Type C connector which is different than the older versions of GoPros.
