I believe to be. I have found that it actually lasts longer than the large 35lb containers if you Are a scooper person like me. I find I do not have to replenish or add as much to the boxes after scooping with the light weight. I really do like it better than the original litters.

I use it all winter long; some litter my cat refused to use, but she accepts the Purina Light weight very well; no "problems" or "accidents"!
She is about 12 years old; he was someone else's "outside" cat 'til she was 8!
