There are 3 straps. There is one strap to secure the pad to the back of the dresser. The other 2 straps go over the baby's tummy.

I have the big white Ikea changing table that can convert into a desk and it fits with plenty of room in the back for everything else you need.

No not at all! I love this changing pad. Have been using for my little one since January 2015. No issues at all. The edges are perfect to keep my little one safe along with the belt that this changing comes with.

My girls are starting to crawl and for me, the top and bottom walls are still an added bonus. One of them likes to arch her back so the top keeps her from scooting up. One of them likes to arch her back so the top keeps her from scooting up. The other is a wiggler and tries to scoot down. The sides are cushy enough to not bother them if they lay their feet or calves on them, but has just enough of a bump even when squished to catch their scooting bottom if they even get that far. They both like to brace their feet on the end too. The changing pad comes with a strap. However, this strap is intended for the baby, not to secure it to furniture. I don't believe this is intended for a dresser. I personally wouldn't do it. If you are gonna go that route, I'd invest in some Velcro strips so it doesn't slide all over, and I'd never leave the baby unattended.

I think so. I have bought two covers off amazon-not paying attention to maker/size and they both have fit.
