If it was used in a bedroom, you wouldn't have any problem sleeping on low speed. Medium and Hi speed may be too much to sleep with. I don't like a lot of noise, some people might be OK with the higher speeds if it was used in a bed room. The pre-filter is attached to the main filter. Everything that you see here is what you need as a replacement for an AC4825 or AC5250PT

No, it just filters microdust particles up to 0.3 microns and odors. It also serves as a disinfectant by killing micro organsims with UV-C rays.
