Answer:
I've accidentally left the watch on and gone scuba diving down to 20m (66ft) without any problems. I think its safe to say that water is a non issue. Overall, I'm very impressed with the water resistance of this watch.

Answer:
It takes 18mm straps, same springbars. If you want to see examples of what it would look like, search Google for "snk809 nato strap" and use the watchuseek forums. They are great help to see examples of it.

Answer:
Yes, I've switched the canvas strap for a dark brown leather band. I think it looks great.
It's relatively easy to swap out the bands if you're good at working with small objects. You can get a springbar tool and check on you tube or someplace similar for instructions.

Answer:
What do you expect for $55????? The watch looks awesome and works like a charm. My black mesh band looks fine casually or with a tie. I'm beyond pleased. I'm sure there are QC issues but again, for the bucks it's a steal. Wear it for a year and buy another.

Answer:
I've had the watch for about a month and haven't had any problems or noticed any scratches. I am not very hard on the watch overall though. I would say if you are worried about scratching, spend a little more and get a sapphire crystal.
