The dollar tree are better batteries. These don't last long at all.

I'd say they're better quality. And probably a bit cheaper when you buy them in a larger quantity.

Grandchildren still using these batteries I purchased from Amazon back in Dec. They are better than a off brand battery.

A tad better quality with the Amazons for sure. In usage if they were both equally fresh they'd both do equally good job in my experience. Problem is $ store ones often aren't as fresh nor stored as well on shelf. Based on my good experience with these from Amazon, I have gone to them totally for my Alkaline needs because once I buy them it takes a while for me to use them. I've gone to the Eneloop brand re-chargeable, also sold here on Amazon for most all of my battery needs. The Eneloops last forever and are much less expensive as you never will replace one.

IMO for most uses the Amazon batteries are a much better deal, on a per-battery basis the packs sold in Dollar Tree may be lower but Alkaline batteries put out more than twice the power (depending on the specific use many times three times the power) of what is available in my area's Dollar Trees and taking that into account these Amazon batteries are the better deal. see less I cannot verify this is true in all parts of the country but in my area the batteries in Dollar Tree are of the "heavy duty" variety which is older, less powerful technology compared to Alkalines such as these Amazon batteries.
