is this the same material used for hair towels? it looks the same... is this unsafe to use on skin?

This isn't much help but, I honestly don't know. The only reason/purpose I bought any kind of waffle knit towels was for drying my truck after the car wash. Never gave it any thought to use these for anything else. Sorry but hopefully someone else can be of more help.

It is the same polyester microfiber used in other towels. Should be safe

It's very similar. I dried my hands off with it after washing my car and it did no harm.

The towels would be rough on the skin. They work great drying cars though

This is a microfiber product. It is safe in contact with the skin. I suppose you could use it to dry your hair, but it's thin and not a bath towel. Excellent for pulling the water off a car, which is it's intended use.
