Yes it will work with the Switch. You just need to update your system to work with XC (Extended Capacity) Cards, which it will do on it’s own once the card is installed. Remember to turn your console off while switching SD cards

I works well in mine. A lot of people complaining they don't are using modded switches that were having trouble reading them

The people saying the adapter does not work with the switch... You DO NOT USE the adapter for the switch. I can just see people trying to fit the adapter into the game cartridge slot....I mean you are testing patience itself here folks.....I love my fellow humans...I love my fellow humans...I love my fellow humans...o… see more The people saying the adapter does not work with the switch... SD card uses the adapter by putting the MICRO SD CARD in it...Most things like tablets, Nintendo Switch, Phones , use a MICRO SD CARD...not a SD card. okay? So if you bought this for a tablet or phone or Switch or 3ds or Nvidia Shield or PSVita or most anything, you will not be using the adapter ok?! Several of the answers just killed me...hurt me.. I believe the MICRO SD SLOT is located behind the "arm" you use to prop the switch up. I just got one and have yet to get a SD card, but without having my glasses because they broke, it seems the only place for it to go. The instructions should tell you this, Google , Yahoo search, ask Jeeves or your neighbor's child of age 6 or older can probably help you. Try using Yahoo's search (google can bite me, and frankly we should all use other search engines just like we should all avoid Wal Mart and Amazon as much as possible by driving to an actual smaller store and paying a buck or 2 extra----Americans may start dying en masse of sedentary lifestyle buried under crappy Chinese goods) to ask " where does the micro sd card go in nintendo switch?" see less The people saying the adapter does not work with the switch... Did not work on my switch since I bought it. It installs fine, shows the space is there but when I try to download games it will download to 99% and then has an error. The card seems to work, as I've checked it on my computer and no issues formatting, just won't work on my switch.

Yes, absolutely. Formatted on Windows computer to exFAT format with default cluster size. Works like a charm.
