I have old drives removed from service, some are defective. Will this product perform a secure erase or reformat?

When connected to a PC with a non-defective disk inserted, it appears to Windows as a remove-able disk drive. At that point you can access the files, or perform a secure erase on that drive. Fora defective drive, I'd recommend a sledge hammer...
