Ha ha ha! Funny! Mexican Spanish? Does Alexa has the Mexican accent as well? I’m Spanish and I find it odd to just say “ Alexa, speaks Mexican Spanish “? Really? Can we get the universal Spanish like if is French let it be French , Not creole!

Spanish is 2nd to English in America. Therefore, the Echo Dots for this country should have been prepped with those two languages!! Apparently this option of Mexican Spanish or proper Spanish is only available on the 3rd generation devices. My 2nd generations Dot doesn’t have the option.

To setup it in Spanish (or any other language) go to your Alexa app, devices, click on the one you want to setup, and there you're going to find all the settings. (Sound, language,etc)

For what it's worth, German is one of the most common languages in the US after English and Spanish. It isn't that strange to see it supported. It's just less common on the coasts.

It seems to me that you'd want to follow the simple demographic curve, and those two cover a significant majority of the country. see less For what it's worth, German is one of the most common languages in the US after English and Spanish. Agree completely. The idea that it would be available in German, spoken by a fraction of US speakers, but not in Spanish, spoken by nearly one in three people in New Mexico and more than one out of four in Texas. Mind-boggling.
